Responsibilities
- Engineering Excellence: Hold yourself to a high standard, treating engineering as a craft and taking pride in your work.
- Write robust APIs and design scalable, maintainable backend services.
- Ensure modular, maintainable code to accommodate rapid feature iterations.
- Optimize backend performance, latency, and throughput.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, designers, and leadership to clarify requirements and maintain project visibility.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Backend Engineer, specifically in Node.js.
- Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Express.js (non-negotiable).
- Good understanding of caching strategies and implementation (e.g., Redis, Memcached).
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Strong command of SQL and database performance optimization, with experience writing complex queries and tuning for efficiency.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working at a single company.
- Passionate about coding and building interesting features that customers pay for.
- Customer and product-obsessed, with a proactive approach to understanding user sessions and product design.
