Join the core engineering team at SARAL, a company dedicated to building the world's best influencer operating system that powers partnerships between e-commerce brands and creators. This is a completely remote role within a lean team of 15, including 4 engineers.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Excellence: Hold yourself to a high standard, treating engineering as a craft and taking pride in your work.
• Write robust APIs and design scalable, maintainable backend services.
• Ensure modular, maintainable code to accommodate rapid feature iterations.
• Optimize backend performance, latency, and throughput.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, designers, and leadership to clarify requirements and maintain project visibility.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Backend Engineer, specifically in Node.js.
• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Express.js (non-negotiable).
• Good understanding of caching strategies and implementation (e.g., Redis, Memcached).
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Strong command of SQL and database performance optimization, with experience writing complex queries and tuning for efficiency.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working at a single company.
• Passionate about coding and building interesting features that customers pay for.
• Customer and product-obsessed, with a proactive approach to understanding user sessions and product design.
